first my windscreen wash doesn't work well the water jets anyway, water bottle is full, motor is working but no water out the jets ???? guessing pipes come off but never worked on one before but im not one for going to garages rather try and fix it myself any guides as to how to very welcome ... ill be buying a haines manual soon

second ive read about an air intake change for the 2L something to do with the V6 intake pipe ??? is it just the pipe or the complete air intake system off the v6

thanks in advance for any help

Re: air intake 156 2.0

welcomw to AO

for the intake check out Gazza82's Alfa 156 2-litre Twinspark go to hints and tips on the left, then 16v v6 intake (pdf) might take a bit to load.

most people prefer the GTA intake ( just done it myself) - the 5 parts required to fit (the GTA intake) properly are listed at the end of the pdf - get all the fittings too - total £21 from my alfa dealer.

give me a pm if you get stuck

and there is no haynes for a 156 unfortunately

As far as the washer goes, do you get water puddling under the car? - it could be a pipe come loose or a clogged non-return valve

Idea Re: air intake 156 2.0

From memory, there is a filter built into the screenwash pump grommet on the reservoir. The pump would need to be removed to remove and clean the grommet/filter. It is located inside the driver's side front wheel-arch inner liner (which needs to be removed).

Compressed air will do the job most of the time.
