Finally another Kiwi on AO!
and as it happens i own a 2.0 TS Sportswagon manual.
Not really that hard to find i seem them on trade me here and there, there is 4 or 5 on there at the moment, depends really how much you are looking to pay, manual may be harder but be patient as it is worth getting a manual... sorry sele owners!
some tips to buy here in NZ.. don't get a ex singapore model.
you can tell if it is singapore or Jap if the rear middle seatbelt is a non tension type.
Jap import can be o.k but since you never get service records they can unpredictable. also look for something 2001 + as alot of problems the earlier models seemed to be smoothed out by 01.
The twinspark is awesome.. listen out for a diesel sound at startup which is a worn variator which can mean it hasn't been given enough oil regularly. get the v6 if you can afford it..and the gas, but the TS is the most nimble and the best balance of power/ handling/performance. free revving and loads of fun.
the tank is 63L and i get between 450-600 k out of it depending on your right foot.
where do you live? if you live i AKL you can take mine for a drive to see what you think.
good luck oh and welcome to AO
