Well I got it done and it was easy peasy.
I got the badge the day after I orded it from ebspares. It cost £27 in total after all VAT and p&p was added. Think I also paid a little extra because I paid by Paypal but I am not overly sure on that.
A scraper blade is not required. After you have unattached the parcel shelf (can be left in car) and have undone the 8 screws just pull gently on the covering and it will just come away. Watched the window glass guy do it a couple of days before when he came to tidy up the silicon after replacing the rear window.
You will need a ratchet with an extension bar to get to the 10mm nut that holds the original badge on. It comes undone easily enough. Once the nut is off put a finger on the thread through the access hole so you can push from one side and pull on the badge side and ease the badge off, mine was quite a tight fit so needed a bit of wiggling.
Then just reverse the process. Use the extension bar and socket. Place the nut in the socket and carefully screw it onto the thread on the back of the badge. Don't let it drop as I can see it being a bugger to find that nut again as it rattles around the inside of the boot lid.
The only other thing to note is as you line up the hoarding to put it back on just bang gently in the location where the plastic retaining lugs are (roughly halfway along the curved section) and you will here them clunk into place, then tighten up all the screws and you are done. Very simple, 5 mins and you are done.
I would of taken photos but it was too dark in my car park for my camera and it was such an easy job to do there didn't seem any point. A bit of common sense and reading Chill's elearn document and it's a doddle.
Hope that helps anyone in the future
