Tricky electrical problem
Our 147 is normally fine, but had increasing electrical problems recently.
Symptoms are now:-
Getting various dashboard/mcu messages, including
P0600 speed sensor,
P0571 brake switch
U12600 and U1706.
The AA gave it a good look. Tried a new battery, but it made no difference.
Put it into reverse, or press the brake pedal, and all the electrics die for a few seconds - killing the engine unsurpringly.
Removing the fuses for the brake & reversing lights and I managed to get it round the block.
Perhaps I should drive straight to an auto-electrician, but not far without brake lights.
I've had a fair search through the forum, and it seems if replugging most of the fusebox sockets under the dash is a good idea.
I did get it a bit stuck in a muddy lane about a month ago, but perhaps that's a red herring.
