I took the wife and kid to Wales a few weeks ago and managed an astonishing 38mpg. This was just taking it easy with time on my side. 65-70 on the motorway. In fact if you drive normally i.e. without speeding you will get at least 30mpg.
Every driver is different I suppose. My car is in tip top condition, new plugs, fully synthetic oil, tyres at 32psi. It all adds up on a run
Oh, just out of interest, did anyone see the article on Top Gear where they had a BMW M3 against a Toyota Prius.
Proof that a larger engine is better for motorway driving because it's working less hard.
Its similar analogy between a 2.5 v6 and a 2.0ts. My v6 has 50% more cylinders so is working 50% less hard at any given speed. What do you reckon??
