156 1.6ts(3rd cylinder issue and more...)
I have a huge problem guys and i need your help...
3 weeks ago i did the 80.000 km service for my alfa 156 1.6ts 00' and also changed timing belts, varriator and lamda sensor...the alfa service engineer told me that i will be needed new sparks but i had at least 10.000 km to change them...
and the problem begins...
i was coming home from a trip and i noticed on hard acceleration i had blue smoke from the exhaust.I stopped the car and checked the oil levels(max level when i started the ride)it was dry!!!!
I filled it with 2 lt of selenia 20k that i had in the trunk just to get me home...It consumed 2.5lt of oil in 270km run!!!!!
Temp was on 90oC
didnt had low oil pressure warning
no engine fault warning
i went to a friend of mine that owns a bosch authorized service garage to check the car and today told me that:
1)Third cylinder had very low level of compression
2)The sparks had to be changed 20000 km before
3)My maf was defected
The oil consumption probably is caused from piston rings and defected sparks...tomorrow he will know exactly what is going wrong after he puts some new sparks to do the tests he needed to.
what in the name of god happened to my engine???suddenly died??
I dont push it hard and i do all the arranged services in time, i do oil change every 6000km and use only selenia 20k
does anyone had the same problem before?is it a common fault???
What is the repair cost that i should expect!
