I'm just looking at returning to the Alfa fold. I used to have a 156 2.4 diesel a few years ago as a family car, which unfortunately ended up getting replaced with a FIAT Multipla
Anyway, I'm now considering an older 156 as a second car and would appreciate any good advice!
I always loved the torquey nature of my 2.4 and first thought I'd get another one of those - but looking around they're still a fair bit more expensive than the 2 litre petrols and diesel is 15 p a litre more....
So, can anyone give me their impressions of the main differences between the driving experience, and also an idea of the real world MPG that I'd get out of a 2 litre?
Also, other than the everpresent cambelt issue, is there anything to watch out for?
