The GT is a great car and the cloverleaf is fantastic.
For sure I am jumping the gun a little, I mean, the car is currently at the dealer now for the problems to be sorted. The feeling of it never being right won't seem to budge.
Problems noted to date:
Extremely stiff rear arm rest.
Nipple on seat caused by something 'prodding' behind the leather.
Excessive wind noise on passenger window.
Leaking passenger door.
Wings/bonnet not aligned correctly.
Sticking caliper resulting in grinding disc.
Window wipers click.
Steering wheel 'groaning' at low speed.
Extremely underpowered compared with claimed/advertised figures.
I can't imagine the car coming back to me with the problems sorted in a reasonable manner.
For instance the body panels, both the wings and the bonnet will have to be adjusted, so the bolts which can been seen from under the bonnet will have to be undone resulting in damage to the paint. Do you think there going to do a good job respraying it all??? NO, chances are they will touch it up for a quick botched job.
Water leak, i'm expecting a "you'll have to come back when it's raining as we can't find the problem" reply. No doubt the wind noise will stay.
Then theres the MASSIVE issue of false advertising. 165BHP?? NO!! Try 145BHP
One for trading standards I'd imagine.
The car may come back perfect, all be it underpwoered, but the customer service shown so far will never change.
