Motor Control System Failure
Hi just wondered if anybody had any advice as to the possible causes of the Motor Control failure light? I changed the cambelt & variator last week and then upon starting the MCSF light came on, but I thought it was probably due to me taking out and cleaning the fuel injectors, thus causing a dodgy mixture for a while. The light went out after a few mins of idling, but has just come back on after its 3rd 'test drive' since reassembling everything. Seems like it's here to stay now, as the journey home also had the light flashing.
I'm hoping I didn't dink the exhuast sensors when replacing the camshaft seals..
Also, could the HT leads & lack of a spark be a cause for this light.. one of the HT leads had a very worn end (looked like it had been worn down significantly due to sparks) but still plugged back together (just about) - so is this likely to be a cause do you think?
