Re: Servicing - would you go to a specialist or get ripped off by the dealer ?
I try to service my own cars once out of warranty. My wifes car is out of warranty (Citroen C4) so I bought the parts and service myself. All it requires at this service and all the dealers would do would be oil, oil filter, pollen filter. Air filter not required (which is a 48 minute job!). Cost about £50 in parts, dealer would charge about £140 to do the same with their labour.
Home servicing is a bit out of favour, maybe people are too rich, don't like to get their hands dirty but it's still pretty much as easy if not more so than in the past. I didn't tackle the cambelt on the GTA though, I'm not that mad!
