147 Supercharged to replace GTV V6
Thanks to Gordon Brown & this car-hating Govt I've had to say bye bye to my beloved 10 year old GTV 3.0 V6. Plus it needs another cambelt change...! By far the best car I've ever owned.
Have part-ex'd it for a 2003 147 2.0TS today (£1800 trade-in price .... Christ what have I done...). However, in a desperate bid to replace the power & performance of the V6 (addictive) I've decided to throw it Autodelta's way for the supercharger upgrade. Flippin' pricey @ £3.8K but with 200bhp it shouldn't be too far off the GTV V6. Also getting it lowered & decent exhaust.
My issue is mileage. The 147 has done 61K (just had cambelt / variator change as part of the deal) - is this a bit high & the car a bit old for such an upgrade as supercharger? I'll only be doing about 8 - 10K miles a year though. Also any ideas on how to replicate the fantastic noise of the V6...??!
