After leaving my slave cylinder doused in some removal juice for a couple of days, tried to lever it out.
As you can see the mounting bracket is now in 2 easy to handle pieces, so I'll need a new one of those too.
Thanks to the mechanic down the road who snapped the circlip (a new one of them needed too), and bashed the old cylinder and housing for 10 minutes before annouching the car needed to be at the garage.
So one week after locating the problem and 'getting a man in', the car still won't go, no-one will visit to look at it, and there's a large 'recovery' fee to pay if I want it transporting. All for a weeping slave cylinder that used 250ml of fluid every 300miles or so.
...if wishes were fishes, we'd all cast nets...
