New key with a twist
Afternoon folk of Alfa land. I come in search of help. I recently brought a 156 2.5 V6, but have only 1 red key. The remote alarm/immobiliser button bit of the key was broken when I got it and as such has not been used in some time. The car in question is being broken for parts after failing it's last MOT, and I intend using the engine and all the Alfa loom and ECU in a kit car. Foolishly I didn't think to find out how you go about getting new keys coded to the car, but most of the loom is now removed and the car is undrivable. I do still have the key code unit, the engine ECU and everything that makes the engine run in place, but not a lot else is left. Is it still possible to get more keys coded to the car? Or do you need all the diagnostic stuff in place to do it?
Thanks in advance for any help that you can give!
