Re: Clicking noise from the engine
I'm based in Dublin and wonder can any of you offer advice. I bought my 2002 156 1.6 in march form a dealer and my warranty is out
on the 29th. I am bringing it in to them as I have the clicking sound from the left side of the engine and it seems
to be using a lot of oil. I have topped up but after a couple of weeks the oil light goes on when cornering and braking.
From what I have read, I am thinking that the cam belt may need changing. There are 76k on her but I do not know if the
warranty covers this... This is my first dealings with a car dealer and any advice here would be well appreciated.
Have to say though, love the new jammer!
If you're only checking the oil every couple of weeks when you know it's using it up, you're asking for trouble. You need to be checking in every couple of days. Everytime that oil light comes on it means low pressureand that in turn means you are damaging the bearing shells on the crank ...
