Re: strange throttle issue
ok, mixed fortunes
i adjusted the cable at the throttle body (engine off) until the valve began to move
then i tightened the pedal bolt - which went to fully tight and still didnt quite fully open the B valve.
job seemed a goodun, but when i hooked it all up the engine sat at 2500rpm (even after a re-set)
only thing i could do was loosen the adjuster at the valve until it went back to the normall 900ish rpm at idle
this is strange because the valve was not open at all when i hooked it back to the hose?????
cable is tighter than it was tho, so hope it helps a little
the play in the pedal i discovered is being caused by a white spring behind the clutch pedal, (where the acc pedal arm goes too) which seems to have overstreched and allows a little pressure before engaging the throttle cable.
off for a short spin to see if everything is ok - fingers crossed
