Is your idle problem the same as described in the wonky idle thread or does it go up and down while stationery, if its the latter it could be that the throttlebody needs cleaning. Before cleaning read a few threads and note the warnings given in them as its easily damaged.
If its as described in the wonky idle thread, that is idle bouncing up and down when coming to a stop its nice and steady when stationery then if you read the thread about wonky idle you will see that pulling the ABS fuse from under the bonnet never made a difference, it was just someone elses idea of a shortcut that has probably misled a few people as everyone that tried it reports it did not work. To check this method properly and easily i disconnected the abs sensors, 2 at the front by the suspension towers and 2 in the rear behind wheel arch under carpet (they look like inline fuse holders), this only takes a few minutes and you will know as soon as you drive it. If the speedo still works the the ecu is still getting a signal by disconnecting the sensors there is no signal to send.
