Re: Alfa GT Clutch
Most clutches just plain wear out for all sorts of reasons, and they get abused summat rotten, so no warranty is ever going to cover a wornout clutch as its an open chequebook for anyone who does racing starts at the lights, grannies (and people who should know better) who ride the clutch as they drive along. The biggest SINGLE influence on clutch life is drivng style. I know an old geezer in Boston with 250,000 miles on his Peugeot 405 estate, and still on the original clutch.
Clutches do fail due to poor quality components from time to time, and these would be covered of course, but are much rarer occurrences, and of course you can't tell until its all in bits..and someone has to foot the bill. If the warranty will not, it has to be the owner. Its a scenario we went through hundreds of times in our warranty claims dept at Autoguard, and we know the garages used to pull the wool to keep the customer sweet.
Good luck anyway
