Well, my 156 2.0 TS has stuck the knife in again, not content with with a host of other problems, it now has blown a head gasket, only 1 month after a full service, which included an oil change, spark plugs, and new coolant etc.
The fuel injection warning light came on about 2 months ago, so i asked if those could be solved as well as a few other niggles, after the service the light went out and i though that was that, then 2 weeks ago, the light came back on, the mechanic plugged the laptop in, and it seemed the new sensors we're ok, but it said that there was a fault, he cleared the system but the light came back, next thing i know, im driving along and the engine pours out all it's coolant and the temp gauge goes up to red. I pull over and get it towed to the mechanic who tells me the Head Gasket has blown.
Could the replaced lambda sensors cause this, if they potentially weren't the right ones replaced?
Any suggestions welcome....
