147 Selespeed oil leak

Hi, Im in New Zealand and have 2001 2L 147 Selespeed. Awesome car, but recently the selespeed has been jerky in takeoff, kind of surging. I checked sele oil level after allowing pump to operate and going up and down gear box a couple times, and oil was below dipstick level.
Topped up oil, checked ok on dipstick, but after driving home, found 2 x pools of oil on garage floor, and selespeed reservior almost empty.
Help, whats wrong, or what have I done wrong. Ive spent an hour searching these forums but cant find exact same issue, so hope Im not repeating any thread.
Thanks in advance, hope someone can help me.

Re: 147 Selespeed oil leak

Hi and Welcome to the forum.
Just had the same issue on my Sportswagon and found the problem to be a weeping Banjo joint (Tightened the 19mmm nut) on the selespeed pump mounted in the wing.
I hope this may be of help..

Thanks for that tip, checked the banjo joints and all ok. Mysteriously, overnight the oil level in sele tank is now full to brim? I guess I just filled it up too much and its made its way out the overflow.

I noted another post that just said to let it find its own level, so will just keep an eye on it. Gears are working great.
