Re: Frontal damage to my GT

i dont like grabby sensitive brakes. there are few occasions where you need full braking power, and many more where you need only a slight amount of braking power. i can stamp my foot hard, i cant make grabby brakes less sensitive.

Re: Frontal damage to my GT

The original brakes on the 147 are a bit strange... it bites well enough but feels soggy in the first half of the pedal travel. You really have to stomp it to get full braking power because it's not overboosted like most German cars.

I've swapped out the front discs and pads for Tarox items and put on steel brake lines, and the car now has a much firmer pedal feel and braking is also improved. Too bad it squeals a bit on cold days... makes other drivers think my brake pads have been scraped clean

The tendency to pitch forward on hard braking has also been reduced by fitting a coilover suspension kit. I'm wondering if stiffer anti-roll bars would make a difference although I'd think they would only affect lateral motion, not longitudinal.
