Crazed 147 electrical problem

I have had my 147 tspark for 18 months and up to now it has been super. Last week whilst out all of the electrics went off. The car restarted but flashed up an 'error LED' after a few seconds this went off. This has happened 4 times now and each time it flashes the 'error LED' sometimes it leaves another light illuminated. Brake, immobiliser and similar.
Any clues apart from check all the multiplugs, fuses etc.

Re: 147 electrical problem

I had a brand new battery fitted in January + connections cleaned. I checked fuses + relays last night to make sure they were all seated ok. When it happens the whole electrical system shuts down. The car will turn over on the key but there is no ignition. After a few seconds the lights on the dash reappear with the message "error led" then it starts ok. It mainly happens within a few minutes of starting from cold.
