cost effective maintainance
I'd be really grateful for an opinion or two on what work you think needs to be done.
I bought a 147 1.6 ts lusso 6 months ago with 66k, no alfa history (just local garage service stamps) and a new cam belt and tensioner fitted as a condition of sale (again, not sure about the authenticity of the parts).
Now at 70k, the variator is a bit noisy from cold and the alfa specialist recommends change of cam kit, variator, oil and filter and possibly the water pump. As I have little idea about the history, should I bite the bullet and get the whole lot done now, or could I get away with leaving something until the next service?
