156 leaking radiator

Hi folks, got back from a drive this morning to find my radiator steadily dripping its coolant onto my drive, with it being a bank hol nowhere is open,my question is if i topped the resevoir up in the morning and arrange to take it to the local garage ,which is about 3 miles away, would i be able to drive it there without causing any damage?...its not as if its gushing out ,just a steady drip.

Thanks for any advice

Re: 156 leaking radiator

You may get away with it.
But don't get stuck in any traffic.
Also be a good idea to set the heater to hot and put the fan on.
And keep a VERY close eye on the temperture gauge.

If the rad has gone so far that it is leaking, it won't have much cooling capacity left. They usually get replaced long before they leak.
