I was used to playing ''guess how much fuel you have'' game with my previous 156, but its not that much fun with my lastest one.
I have resorted as a precaution to sticking in a fiver/tenner here and there when setting out on a known route , but I know my tank must almost full.
Yesterday, when the guage was reading zero with the orange light on, I stuck in a fiver, minutes later the guage returned to zero, I drove a route that I know would usualy burn about 30 euros worth of petrol (Danerous I know)and the guage did not drop below the final bar and near the end of the journey it actualy rose above the half a tank bar.
Am I right in thinking that the tank contains a Bob type object which floats, rising and falling in relation to the amount of fuel in the tank,
and that this can sometimes become stuck to the bottom of the tank?
When climing a steep hill yesterday the guage gave a full tank reading, but thats the case with most cars, isnt it?
Finaly the car is going for a service this month, can this be rectified by a mechanic?
