Lambda Connections 156 JTS

Hi All

I have had the Engine Management Light for a few days and narrowed it down to the two Pre Cat Lambda sensors that intermittently fail. Reading through other threads it seems there is a design flaw for the connectors between the wiring loom and the sensors.

I have mentioned this to my local specialist and they concur and have had to fix this many a time. The issue is that they want to solder the wires direct to the Lambda.

Can anyone advise if this is a simple procedure that can be attempted by a complete novice i.e. me or, preferably if there is a way around cutting the connectors completely.

soldering the wires together is fine, and very easy, and gets rid of the connectors for good.

you can also use bullet connectors instead.

Or just shave a bit off of the socket side of the plastic connector body so that the pins can reach further in.
