Opinions: 147 Ti/GTA Headlights

Well a few days ago I failed to seal the rear housing properly for my n/s front headlight () and it has since acquired condensation on the inner surface of the perspex. This has now dried and left with it water spots all over the surface so I'm planning on removing the bumper to gain entry to the headlight in order to clean it.

Now seeing as how I'm going to the trouble of removing the bumper and associated parts I was contemplating painting the chrome surface of the outer headlights black (a la Ti and GTA). Just looking for opinions on this - yay or nay??? My 147 is black, 5dr with the supersport alloys. I'm not trying to make some Ti rip-off, but I do think the Ti headlights look rather nice.

Should I use any specific paint and is it wise to apply a clearcoat? Also, matte or gloss finish???

You want a matt finish paint.

What David said. Will stop unwanted reflections.

Use Plasticote range of paints. Very good, albeit slightly more expensive. Don't forget to sand off any chrome that you are spraying over. Do it properly, once!
