Hmmm Flushing Radiator

So I have bought a two step radiator flush for my car, from Halfords.

Radiator is working ok gets a little warm when stood around and driving around town but not too bad, no red warning lights anyway.

My radiator could do with a coolant change anyway so I thought why not flush it at the same time. I have ordered a new gasket for the thermostat so that I can remove the thermostat and hopefully push water through the engine block and up through the radiator (as per instructions on the back)
What I'd like to ask is has anyone used this stuff before is there any precautions or anything I need to know before I do it.
Also just out of interest why can you not add the stuff to the expansion tank ( I know its got to be direct so will put it down the thermostat hose ) just wondered why?
One last thing whats the best way of getting as much of the coolant out as possible, I hear there are no drain plugs, so how can I be sure that I get it all out, like do I need to slope the car and use the bottom most hose or something like that?
