Help Disaterous Immobiliser Issues

Today, I had a bit of a shock when my 156 JTD just suddenly cut out at 60MPH on the M25. When I had finally stopped, it is as if the immobiliser is not deactivaing from my key and the key and code light stay on as well as oil, charge, glow plug etc and the temp overheat light??. I've tried the wiggling wires bit under the fuse box that I read on another thread to no avail. The central locking still works, remote boot release button OK and the same thing happens with the spare key. Anyone got any ideas?? It's never happened before and the first time this baby has let me down in 103,000 miles.

Also, as an aside, the temp gauge seems to read 75 degrees all the time and the car never gets to 90 the way it used to.

Please help, and if anyone can give me an idea of how much to rectify, I would be grateful. The last bill I got from an Alfa dealer was 2,500!! It's very painful!
