Excuse me, it does make a difference, if I accelerate hard in mine the asr light flashes and tries to control the tyres , asr off it does not and I get better acceleration !!!!!!
you have a 1.6 for gods sake you could not turn make the light come on if you tried the only time it would come on is if you wanted to wheel spin or drive on a slippery surface and even in tha case it would not be such a good idea.

agreed! i cant get my 2L to spin, unless i want it too and thats without fancy control stuff a 1.6 certainly wont hassle it at all

It must be the tyres they have then so. Cos my car is hard to spin up too and so is the JTS.

Rancido64. to be honest mate i just wouldn't touch it. keep doing what you are doing and switch it off when you turn it on. no point in throwing £100's down for a small convienience. For resale value you would be better off not touching it anyway.

As for what difference it makes, i will let you know on friday when i get my 147 2.0
