I own an alfa 156 1.6TS and 1 month ago i changed tires and rims from 195/60/15 to pirelli P ZERO NERO 215/45/17 and alloys from alfa GT
i knew that i would have some loss of top speed and acceleration but unfortunately the loss was greater than i thought...
Top speed before :210-220 km/h
Top speed after : 185-195km/h
also 4th gear to 5th takes a century....so accelerating from 140 to 185 takes about a day...
Is it normal to have such a loss from tire change?
What can i do to recover some power without spending a fortune?
1)Change tires to 205/45/17
2)Install a BMC CDA induction kit(about 250-300 euros)
3) Put on the old tires and rims again
4)Full exhaust system (cost???)
I want opinions especially for the BMC CDA.What is the power gain that ill get from it?is it any good or is it just for the sound?
p.s just got it out from the 80000 km service with new timing belts and variator.
