We like Alfas because, well, we just do. No justification is required, nor are the pathetic, angry diatribes on BMW.
Agreed, people making comments who have never owned one or driven one for a period of time.

Jeez guys, lighten up!

BMW bashing by the Alfisti is only the same as footie fans bashing another team (no matter how good or bad they are)

If you come on to a forum dedicated to a particular marque and announce you are leaving because you have found a better car, you are going to get some flack. It's just a show of loyalty. Don't take it all so seriously.

Re: Goodbye Alfa, Hello BMW

I have to acknowledge you may have a point there.

I was looking at the Cayman S and was a day from placing the order when I called into Alfa to see what they had. The Brera 3.2 was on that special "no brainer" deal which got me really interested. Didn't like the headroom so thought "chop the roof off" and I'll have one. Thats how I ended up buying a Spider and keeping my 147 GTA. Go shopping for a Cayman S and end up buying the Spider 2.2; there is little logic in that. If the Mito has a GTA version it may well sway you from the dark side after all.
