Passenger Footwell Water _ does it affect the GT?

Hi all,

Had my GT JTD(2005MY )for 2 weeks now, loving it but had my first taste of an "Alfaism" at the weekend

2 problems both related in a way.

The passenger footwell got soaking wet after a long drive with the aircon on. The water seems to be coming from the middle of the bulkhead (inside) behind the centre console from a piece of sponge that is sopping wet. I lifted the carpets and underneath is dry so i guess it's coming from there somehow. Anyway i have done a search and the view seems to be on 147's and 156's that the drain pipe for the aircon is too short and that a mod is/can be done.

Does anyone know if this problem afflicts the GT as well and if so is it a DIY or dealer fix

And oh the second problem well in trying to dry the carpets out i left both front doors open for about 6 hours. I thought that the interior lights turned off so i would be ok, trouble is i forgot the puddle lights and of course they flattened the battery

All help happily received

Many thanks
