Re: Selespeed pump
The fault returned after a couple of days! This time pulling out the contacts and reinserting didnt work either. In the end i gave the pump a smack with a screwdriver and it started, jumped into the car and drove the car to a local indy garage. They have never even heard of selespeed before (my nearest alfa dealer are 250km away!), but they agreed with me that the pump are probably faulty and in need of replacement. They consulted with the alfa garage, ordered a new pump at the incredible price of £700, and are confident that they can change the pump. How smart is it of me to let them change the pump? They have obviously never done this before and dont have the examiner, so i dont feel totally confident that they are capable of this.
