147 TS: Engine cut out in traffic

As title.

I was sitting in traffic today (only briefly) when the car suddenly starts shaking and subsequently stalls. No warnings displayed other than the engine warning light. I started it again straight away, but it took about 10-15 seconds to finally kick over. hasn't happened since (can't account for future likelihood..) but have let it idle and started it multiple times. Engine is running at normal temp, no leaks and engine light has gone out. Guess it has something to do with the fuel pump or its contiguous parts, but I'm lost. I had a camblet plus interim service only last week, but can't get the car back to them till tuesday (public holiday)...

Any ideas??????

Re: 147 TS: Engine cut out in traffic

It is easy to damage the cam phase sensor when tightening the cam pulleys, so that is a possible suspect.

It is located behind a cam pulley

Or it could be completely unrelated to the belt change work.
The fuel pump relay could produce the problem you had.
