Re: GT Fuel Flap Stuck
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago, and I looked on here to see if anyone had posted a thread on it, but they hadn't (apart from someone saying it had frozen shut in the winter). Mine had the same problem - pulled up at the petrol station, pressed the button on the dash, it made the usual "I'm opening the fuel flap for you" noise, but when I got out, the flap was still shut. I pressed the button about a dozen times, and tried to prise the door open, but to no avail. I didn't realise there was a pull string in the boot!
I ended up driving home without managing to fill up. When I got home, I tried the fuel flap button again, and suddenly it was working again! Not sure if the fact that my car was on a slope at home made a difference. I oiled the bits that seemed to move with WD40 in the hope that that would stop the problem recurring.
