Climate control knob

The climate control knob on the driver's side has just gone slack - there's no usual clicking steps when turned, although the 0.5C increment/decrement of temperature still work as normal, just the physical feel is vaguely missing.

I suspect a spring kind of thing might have moved or snapped plastic somewhere behind the dial. Would have been better if I could swap over the passenger side to the drivers side.

Just wondering if anyone has the same happened and how easy is that to fix by myself? Would appreciate if anyone could give a step-by-step guide on how to remove the radio/facia/how to get to the climate control unit behind...

many thanks!

Re: Climate control knob

i had my centre console off on sat to replace, the buttons are knobs are now a little lighter in turning, but working fine - probably just lossened up after being in place for 7 years or so.

this may help a little , not sure if similar to 156 or not. Fun starts @ 3000!
