Not Happy Hi and Help From GD156

Hi All,

I trust this message find you all well.

I am a 52 plate 156 2.0 JTS Lusso owner. I got this car for my wife about a year and half ago, she loves it. I have also been really imprested by the drive and handling.

I have come to the forum as I have a bit of a problem!

I find the brakes appalling and this has almost caught me out a few times when I have jumped out of my VW and into the ALFA.

I have power bled the brake but still they don't have any immediate grip and my foot can be pressed to floor and the car doen't seem to stop any quicker. Pads and disks are fine. The only similar experience i have had is brake fade on a motorbike.

Does anyone have any ideas?

many thanks for taking the time to read this..

Re: Hi and Help From GD156

obviously if you are worried you should have it checked.

think its fair to say 156 brakes are not confidence inspiring sometimes, and many people upgrade. my brakes are in good nick but dont always feel quite right either, always stops tho.

Re: Hi and Help From GD156

156 Brakes are pretty poor as standard. They are less-servoed as well, so you need to press harder to get it to brake than you would in a Vee Dub.
