Tell me about it- its only a matter of time..
On my way to work there are at least 5 of those square humps one after the other, then 5 on the way back.
I have to go over them at about 5mph otherwise I wouldn't want to think what might happen!
Now if I did go over them at the speed limit for that road at 30mph, I would no doubt total my sump. It would probably shear it off!
It doesn't help my cay being lowered - I cant even drive on to my drive straight- I have to go at an angle otherwise the bumper scrapes!
Anyhow, there are plenty of effective speed humps out there and I have no idea how those designs got passed-
Some cars or usually white vans can straddle them no problem, they clearly aren't wide enough for them, and with my other car you had to go about 5mph.
They are too high and abrupt for the speed.
They just knacker the cars suspension at minimum.
If it was me I'd be suing the council regardless.
I'll start by going over them on the one side now then as mentioned above as otherwise straddling them 50 times a week wont do my car any good at all.
I don't see how they can get awy with those speed humps at all
