Am still having my kangaroo problems, I thought I'd finally found the problem was a faulty injector, having created a test rig which showed intermittent operation on number 3.
Have just got a replacement from Alfaman and the kangaroo persists, although the performance is now awesome again as I also ultrasonically cleaned all the injectors and fixed my variable inlet manifold problem - by cleaning the solenoid
After doing the replacement and doing the reset drive I tested lots of parameters including the knock sensor which I noticed was activating frequently. Only one knock sensor is listed on Alfadiag. Does the fact it is activating tell me anything, tell me its working or faulty or point to a problem where???
Am convinced this is bank 1 / 2 related as the lambda settings read with Alfadiag are very different between the two banks for short term multiplicative and for additive.
Heres a list of things done to date :
New Bosch MAF 10 months ago - before problem began
Once problem began, in order of change/work:
Fuel Injector cleaner in tank
New coil packs - as old ones had split
New HT leads set at same time
Spark plugs changed at local independent - signs of running rich and wear on tips
Fuel Injector cleaner in tank again
Throttle body dismantled and cleaned (fly-by-wire)-throttle pot dismantled and cleaned before cleaning butterfly
2 front lambda's fitted - totally white tips (okay...?)
All injectors now cleaned and one faulty one replaced with 2nd hand unit.
New fuel tank filler cap.
Gazza82's oil separator valve
All to no effect, although when under hard acceleration now, she goes like a dream
much better than before. Kangaroo still persists though, very apparent between 1800-3000 ish revs with peak often around 2500 rpm.
