hi there i just removed all the cats and pre cats out about 5 weeks ago . supersprint make a turbo back pipe for the 16v one with i think is the same pipe .
But what i have done is removed the cat from the pipe
It hard work but take the box off from the turbo and unbolt it from the down pipe under the oil sump and get a chisel and just start chieing away at the cat it will take some time (2hours) to get it all out but you can make it faster if you use a drill to remove parts of the cat then i used heat prof paint on it.
the part about 4 to 2 to 1 this does not mater because it from the turbo which is one pipe allready
