Agree entirely about the CD, it's very hard work, contradicts itself and appears to be wrong in a lot of places.
I did find the engine wiring diagram useful for belling out the engine wiring loom eg. some of the splices I found on mine looked like terrifying DIY bodges until I got the wiring diagrams which showed they were actually supposed to be there. Also made tracing all the sensor, injector, coil lines back to the ECU pins and earth posts a doddle. Did me no good of course apart form ruling out a wiring fault.
