I have no knowledge of petrol Alfas, replacing heads or any such like, BUT, if you love a car and know it inside out - it's always worth more to you than some tool that pays ****-all on ebay.
Phone around, get some written quotes to do all that's required and get the work done. From the verdicts of others it's gonna be under a grand. So your car is worth £300 plus a grnd for the repairs.
You get a lovely car, new cambelt and shells, low mileage and you know the history.
I've spent £1402 on my car this month - it's a 99 V-reg with 120K. BUT I LOVE IT and I'd do it again tomorrow.
