Thanks armoore - checked out and unfortunately all ok from that angle. The terminal block that connects to the light cluster is showing about 10 volts between earth and the 3 cables that feed the sidelight, the brake light and the indicator light. These are rated at 6watt, 21watt and 21watt - and when the terminal block is connected to the cluster the 6watt side light glows very dimly (which, over a few days drains the battery). I suspect the 6watt bulb glows because it is the weakest resistance. What I cannot fathom is how or why the 3 supply cables are showing voltage even when nothing is switched on. Surely if there was a short it would only affect one of the 3 supplies ?
