Re: 156 v6 cambelt service
Rigsby - can you find out ALL work the car has had done, other than servicing? Because at this age the car is ripe for having £1000s spent on suspension, brakes, exhaust, radiator, cambelt service, plugs, clutch and so on.. If he doesn't have receipts for these things, it probably means they need doing. He might be selling it for the very reason that it needs all this work. What are the tyres like? I always reckon if a car has 4 low tyres on it when its for sale, the owner has known he's going to be selling it for a while and so will have scrimped on any replacement parts or may even be selling it due to a big up-coming bill..
Anyway, £2,400 is pretty much top money for a 2.5 V6, you should get a mint one for that sort of money.
