Re: Opinions on Pirelli P-Zero's
Just removed the Pzeros and fitted a set of Dunlop Sportmaxx yesterday. Got a bit of a telling off from the garage as to the state of the Pirellis. They were badly worn on the inside edges. In fairness most of this wear was caused before I had the 4 wheel alignment, made a big difference. I also ran them at slightly higher psi, and this had a dramatic effect on the wear. Got nearly 15k out of them (last set of GSD3s worn at 7.5k)
Before you get on my back about too high pressure, I just used the 'full load' setting as recommended in the handbook.
No real time to test the Dunlops yet, but the rim protection is much thicker than on previous tyres. I'm expecting them to be great in the dry, last long but possibly not be as grippy in the wet.
Guess we'll have to see
