Re: Which front grille badge? two types?

Sorry. i should have said remove and replace. Old ones have become faded.

Thanks for the advise will give that another go. The back one seems to be very fiddly as the lock mechanism is in the way. Does the back badge just unscrew from behind?

Re: Which front grille badge? two types?

if you look ebhind the cover on the inside of the bootlid, there is the main lock barrel assembly, black plastic cylinder, and a smaller one a little further in.

the small one is your badge insert. you need to remove the circlip on the end, and the badge should wiggle/pull out. bit fiddly, but simple enough.

I presumed the one i bought was OEM, its says "originale" on the packet, but just isn't as good.

Does anyone know if all the badges are now plastic or are we being sold a cheapy?
Same here, rear swivel badge for my 156 was originally metal, just had an OEM one in the post thats plastic! Ho hum

Same problem

Hi, just joined. Sorry to resurrect a 5 yr old thread but I've come up with the same problem and just wondered if you ever sorted it aziraphale? The standard replacement badge for the pre-facelift 156 simply doesn't fit correctly. If all else fails I'll hunt down a scrap 'beak' and hope the new badge fits better than on the current set up.
