Hi, I've had my 147 since Mid Feb now and love it to bits. there were a few little things wrong with it when I bought it but should be things I can sort out quite easily.
1. Stereo and speakers.
I swapped the factory HU for an Alpine CDA-9877R and have bought some Decent looking InPhase speakers for the front as I got them for a bargain price of £20 new.
2. Clicking passenger door.
When I open the passenger door there are 3 clicks. One at every stage of opening. From closed to fully open. I think you guys will know what I mean, think I've seen somewhere that it's the checkstraps. My friend had this on his new Astra SXI and he took it in and they tightened something up and it stopped clicking. I would like to know if there is anything I can do easily while I have my doorcard off to fit my speakers. Any diagrams or pictures would be of great help if possible.
3. Key remote
When I bought the car it came with 2 remote keys. One of them doesnt work at all even if I change the battery. The one that I am using only works if I put the remote to the drivers side window while pressing the unlock button. Also, the boot release button has broken on it.
I was thinking about getting a Clifford Concept alarm fitted with the immobiliser bypass so that I could unlock/lock and open the boot with the 2 supplied remotes and also have a decent cat1 alarm at the same time for £370 fitted. this would be cheaper than 2 new keys! Any suggestions on this?
4. Engine oil pressure warning.
This message appears on the screen every time I brake hard or corner hard. Well, it doesnt even have to be that hard. I have checked the oil a few times and that looks fine. I have read that if there was a problem with the pressure I would know about it by now in a very expensive way. Could it just be the sensor that needs replacing?
many thanks for your help in advance.
