As above can any one tell me what the differences are and on a v6 are there any problems

COMPLETELY different systems.

Q-System is a traditional 4-speed torque-converter auto box.
Only available on the 2.5V6

Selespeed is a normal manual gearbox, but the control of the clutch and gearshift movements is by a hydraulic actuator.
Available on the 2.0TS/JTS (5-speed) and on the GTA 3.2V6 (6-speed).
