We all went over to Mango's yesterday specifically to check out the GT.
MrsJim has always wanted a 4x4 and fancied a Freelander2/Tiguan type job if
we got rid of her ageing but very low mileage (36k in 6 years) Picasso.
We no longer have a big dog to accomodate and JimJnr is 3, so goes into a booster seat soon.
On that basis, I argued, why do we want a big second car? She wasn't so sure. Practicality and all that.
Anyway, after a good look over and chat with Kevan there, she is almost completely won over. There is a surprisingly big boot. I'm 6' and I could still get in the back OK with the driver's seat how I'd have it. Admittedly, headroom was tight for me but we hardly ever have anyone in the back.
We have arranged to go back and test drive a 2.0JTS in a few weeks. It's as economical as her Picasso too - real life she only gets about 30mpg.
She is too sensible to agree to going for a V6 though!
