Somewhat related to this topic, is it easy to retro-fit the cruise control?
I've just fitted mine and it works a treat, bit weird at first driving with no feet on the peddles, but you get used to it, just don't do what I did and test it out behind a police car!
It's very simple to fit, make sure the ignition is not on whilst doing this, you don't need to disconnect the battery either.
It goes soemthig like this, just remove the base cowling with a T screwdriver (you can get these from halfords or homebase very easily), put the 3 screws you have just removed somewhere safe, unscrew the tiny brass coloured screw tucked under the indicator stalk, locate the white attachment to plug in your cruise control stalk, clip the cruise stalk onto the section, screw in the longer brass screw you should have been supplied with, if you can try to get the screw into the back of the stalk attachment at least try (I gave up), gently clip the new cowling supplied to fit the cruise attachement section and screw the 3 T screws back in.
Remember to test all your electrics once you have connected everything back together to make sure nothing has been fused during the instalation.
If you need any advice pm me.
